Meloplasty

Hello, I will talk about a procedure called meloplasty. Meloplasty is a surgical procedure that involves removing mucosa and tissue from inside the cheeks. It is used to reduce the size of the cheeks or in cases where patients bite their cheeks, to reduce this trauma. It can be done in the office with local anesthesia or in the operating room, often in conjunction with other procedures like buccal fat removal, neck lift, mandibular contouring, or chin implant. It requires minimal recovery time and usually has inflammation for about three to five days.
