Mentoplasty

I will talk about a very discreet and elegant procedure: mentoplasty. Mentoplasty is a procedure that no one notices; people may tell you that you look different, but they won't know why. It is usually performed together with other procedures like rhinoplasty, neck liposuction, or buccal fat removal. It typically doesn't involve much swelling or recovery time, unless combined with other procedures, which may require a few more days of recovery. How is this procedure done? An incision is made under the chin, in the crease where the chin meets the neck. Through this incision, the tissues are dissected to place the chin implant, made of plastic or silastic. This implant is meant to last a lifetime, and after its placement, the incision is closed. Sutures are removed after about 10 days.
